Roanhorse Consulting, LLC (Roanhorse) is an Indigenous-led intermediary that purposefully works to change power dynamics in health and wealth systems to build a world in which future generations can thrive. It offers consulting and evaluation services. It also supports and incubates entities and programs that serve and uplift Indigenous people, communities, and Indigenous ways of being. Vanessa Roanhorse, CEO of Roanhorse Consulting, and her organization are at the center of some of the most exciting non-extractive economic systems experimentation happening today. Roanhorse has built trust and a strong reputation over the years by supporting Indigenous grassroots entrepreneurs and serving as a bridge between traditional institutions (such as financial capital providers, business leaders, and funders) and Indigenous communities. Roanhorse is currently developing a platform, Center Native, that is designed to connect Indigenous entrepreneurs with one another, potential partners, and capital providers. AmbitioUS provided $50,000 as a one-year expenditure responsibility grant focused on Roanhorse’s work to build a new technology infrastructure platform called Center Native.
